The Applied Microfinance Institute is a world class training event initiated by MicroSave with the mission to meet the demand of field oriented practical trainings in the microfinance industry.
It is called “Applied” because the training focuses on developing practical and applicable skills for microfinance practitioners from around the world. The trainings given at AMI are based largely on well researched, tested and internationally acclaimed toolkits from MicroSave.
In addition, each day of AMI begins with a plenary session on an issue of topical interest to the microfinance industry and is panelled by a key personality of the industry. Thus, alongside the intense technical sessions, AMI also seeks to present an opportunity to be exposed to current practices in microfinance and lessons from the field.
